Santa with Ryan Bradley, mom, and an Xmas list
Santa has been very busy this year! A hysterical thing to happened on the second weekend. A little skater in the show is very afraid of Santa. I'm backstage warming up while these little ones are on the ice. The guest skater, Ryan Bradley, is set to come out next. So this little one avoids the bowling ball, domino effectwhen lining to up to present Ryan. From my view point I see him jump out, the little girls come off except for one. In my mind, I'm thinking, "huh, she really doesn't want to get off the ice and wants to skate with Ryan!" Little did I know she saw me warming up backstage and was TERRIFIED! Watch the video as you see the coach attempt to pull her off the ice. She invokes her scared strength and doesn't even budge on the first yank!
Now at the end of this show two little girls approach me, Ella and Hannah (daughters of my good friend, Jason Dimmitt who works at the rink) and asked if I was Santa's elf. I was a bit taken off guard and quickly said, "well, yes, yes I am." So the little one, Ella, hands me her Xmas list while Hannah sends her's via email later. So, since I am his elf, I gave the lists to Santa who in turn gave me personalized cards and an item on their list to give them the following week! I can't tell you how nice it was to see Hannah's eyes light up when she pulled out her pink and green watch! Little Ella read the letter to me from Santa that said all the elves were talking about her at the north pole! Very exciting to say the least! Oh, and also note the Harley Davidson stamps. Santa is a Harley man and also rides a Dyna Low Rider like myself.
That weekend, up on the third floor, Santa's mother cheered him on! We had a delightful time, and I was even able to have her come out for a picture in front of the tree after the show. As you can see we danced a little bit to the Xmas music playing the background! delightful time! Next post, Santa comes in early for some local TV spots!
