Day two of Nashville

6am?  Are you sure shiny new free iPhone?  I mean I thought I just went to sleep a minute ago and it was 10pm.  Ah well.  I hop out of bed and jump into the shower.  As I make the bed and gather my belongings, I think to myself how lucky I am to be here.  I always enjoyed watching Scott, but now that I got a chance to hang out with him, he is really one cool cat.  You know when you meet someone who shoots from the hip, is very sincere, and you know is genuine?  There are not very many people like that, and I'm happy to know he is in that club.

I find myself eating breakfast with Scott and Aiden, having this amazing gluten free oatmeal which has ruined me from instant oatmeal.  Then I read this SWEET stars wars comic book to Aiden in the backseat while dad drove us to school.  The private school was awesome.  All the kids start the day outside with the pledge of allegiance (refreshing after all the p.c. crapola of people not wanting to say "under god."  We are Americans, let those who want to say it in school say it, if you don't want to, don't, but don't take away our right to have it in the first place…ok?  Alright, enough soap boxing.)  Then the kids learn to speak in public by talking about different things.  It was a great sense of community and a positive learning experience.

We went to the rink, did some taping and clean up, and then off to have lunch with Aiden at school.  Ahh…chairs, seats, and bathrooms that are my size, nice to be back!  Another little bit of skating and then off to the airport.  Thanksgiving the routine will air, and I can't WAIT to see how it evolves as he works on it by himself.

OK, back to ice show tryouts and test programs for kids at home!  And oh yeah, a ton of training for the upcoming show.

Be well,

Dan
