Rochester NY and Boston
I have to tell you it seems to take more out of you when you fly back and forth for the weekend then doing 5 shows in a row! I have to say I was a bit tired near the end of the Boston show...complete with barely eeking out the 2nd double axel, slip on the edge to the applause of the audience...I’m glad I can fall funny too! :) You may be asking what the heck is that photo? That is the finger of Gwendal showing you how amazingly tough our job is in the finale. Besides pushing these big boxes around on the ice, they have lights inside of them we have to flick on. We work our fingers to the bone, risking carpel tunnel to make sure those lights flip to white on the right cue in the music. Ben Agosto admitted to me that our finger training to switch them on just right is harder than any of his Olympic training to date! Who knows if we can make it through the end of tour, only time will tell. Till next weekend...
Be well,
Dan
