Scott Cares day 1

How do I even begin to talk about this AWESOME experience???

Well, first Ashley and I arrived Thursday night at the Ritz in Cleveland. After a good night's rest, I left for the rink around 10am. We now had 7 hrs to learn 4 out of 5 routines and get fitted for numerous outfits. By the end of the day our feet were done, our minds were numb, and off we went to the hotel. Did I forget to mention Scott is filming a biography and the camera crew was lurking in the background. They were a good group of guys.

Maria and Sam Miller, who are good friends with Scott and very strong supporters of this event and the Cleveland clinic, hosted this awesome dinner for the skaters and a few close friends. The food was great and who do you think was there at the table behind us? Not only William Shatner himself!!! For all you uncool people out there who have no clue who that is...it is T.J. Hooker, Captain Kirk, Denny Krane, or Price Line Negotiator guy! HOW EXCITING! A gentleman sitting at the table with us (I'm sorry I forgot his name, I have to do better with that) was visually impaired. I was curious what flavor the sorbet was and asked that question outloud. He told us exactly what it was, and I said, "wow, you have a great palette!" like his other senses were superhero status like the Daredevil! He replied, "no, actually I set the menu, I am the caterer for the hotel!" Oh my gosh he was so funny and a great guy to sit with. Michelle, who is Scott's assistant, was next to me and a delight be with again.

After dinner, the skaters slowly found themselves at the bar to hang out before finally going up to bed to get ready for a really long show day ahead of us. The desserts were all sort of chocolate truffles that were housed inside a massive star box, that was also made out of chocolate. There was a chocolate skater idol on top if it...which I think was Scott. I took the one and bit off his head to show Illia's daughter Elizaveta that it was good and try it. Well she didn't, oh well. Then it was off to bed to get ready for the show day...more to come soon about the crazy, hectic, but AMAZING show day...stay tuned for more!
