I'm Yours & Dancing

I'm Yours

Created 2008

Choreographer: Dan Hollander, Don Ross & Marcia Little

I heard this GREAT song “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz. I couldn’t stop listen to it, knowing that I would eventually skate to it (just like Heaven is a Half Pipe for “Angel”). Listening to the words told a story to me of a bum looking for love, yet the world of women only see him as a bum. So the idea was to do a small dance to woe a girl, who then skated away because they weren’t interested. So I start off sleeping on a bench (collapsable from Costco, 2 pack for $30 bucks, GO Costco!) with a girl sitting on the other side. I wake up, do my dance, she says forget it. This happens three more times. Finally I end up sitting back down next to this “bum” girl who seems smelly to me. At this point she jumps up and starts to do MY dance!!! I now realize that I’m being too superficial, just like the other 3 girls were to me, and this is my true love! So I hop up, do my dance, we finish and skate off together.

Dancing

Choreographer: Marcia Little & Dan Hollander

So Frank and Anita called me right before I left for Sun Valley and told me the theme of this year’s show is “Dancing.” I had planned to do Bugs and Elmer as the second routine. I was talking to Marcia about this wondering if there was a second routine that might be better suited for the theme of the routine. She jokingly said, “make up a new one,” knowing that I take a long time to figure out a routine. Well, one thing led to another, and between the two of us, we came up with a second routine based off the first one. So I come out with my bum girl, start to dance, then get into myself way too much and leave her. I finally bumped back into her, and she asks me to do a little dance for her…I say no, she gets mad, so I decide I better…which becomes “Private Dancer”, I stripe, and the number finally ends. So this is just a fun routine to finish off my story of the bum and his girl.
