Santa with Ryan Bradley, Keegan Messing, and an ice storm!

Santa has had quite the adventure over the last two weekends!  I came in a day early for Santa to make an appearance on the local news.  When I landed Thursday night, the ice storm was hitting Dallas full force.  The news canceled Santa’s interview in order to cover the storm the next morning.  The city of Dallas woke up covered in ice.  People were actually skating in their parking lots and on the streets!  My favorite part on the news was watching the cars who just HAD to be out in this weather and brave the thirteen story tall overpass.  Well, with no salt on the roads, a solid sheet of ice, the cars would start to slowly proceed down the hill, gravity would take hold, and with no traction, they would start to slide.  The car would become a pinball machine, bouncing off side rails or whatever obstacles in its descent.

The mall was oddly quiet Friday morning as I practiced.  Mall walkers were stuck at home and some stores opened later, or closed early due to their staff not being able to make it in.  However, if there is shopping to do and schools are closed, people will find a way to make it to the mall.

Luckily, Ryan Bradley made it to the show Saturday night and awed the audience as always.  The following weekend Keegan Messing was the special guest.  The kid is amazing, and the walls could barely keep him in as he speed like a demon around the ice, jumping impossibly high.
