Jay Peak Show June 16th

It isn't very often that you have the opportunity to walk a few minutes to the beautiful venue that you are performing in with this spectacular view.  After passing a water feature that I would kill to have in my backyard, I step onto the ice to warm up.  After dealing with the ear issues and balance, my focus was to...ah... focus on being balanced!  This is still a young club and there was a lot of volunteers, parents, and out of club skaters that all flocked to support the skating director, Krista Boulanger.  (who not only choreographed a lot of the routines, but also skated an amazing number in the show too!)  As I'm getting ready to skate, I look over the running order and realize that I better be in shape skating both routines in the second half!  Thank you Silk for training me hard core!

The opening number was a Lady Gaga routine with a twist.  They had these SWEET rope lights that totally reminded me of Tron!

hmmm...an idea for a routine or at the very least a sweet Halloween costume for me!  Oh, but I would be very remiss if I didn't add the video I took of the hockey boys watching the practice of this number.  I have to admit it was pretty darn funny watching them dance around trying to imitate what the little girls were doing.

The show went really well and I skated decent too! Lynn and Logan were a great crowd pleaser as always.  If you saw the earlier post with this amazing 8 1/2 year old little girl doing her one arm pushups the story doesn't end there.  I made the mistake of challenging her to a contest.  Little did I know her twin sister had her back...or should I say mine!

I'm still doing the exercises to hopefully fix this "BPPV" issue.  So until next time (McCall Idaho for the 4th of July weekend!) be well!  And a big thank you to Jay Peak, Krista Boulanger, and her mother for driving an hour and half each way to the airport for me!
