Jay Peak seminar June 14th

Thursday started out with a bang teaching a couple of great little skaters. The skating director, Krista Boulanger, has done an excellent job with this rink. While waiting for the seminar to begin, the rink manager's 8 year old little girl was challenged to pushups. After cranking out over 30, I asked her if she could do one arm pushups, and here is what I got!

Unreal huh?

We started the seminar off ice with a few backspin jumps and some mime/performance exercises (Thanks Tom Johnson!) I jokingly said all the name tags should be put on their foreheads, and sure enough they all did it! Uh oh...they are starting young with eyebrow waxing!
The one ice went really well with lots of laughter from all sides.  I have to say I really do enjoy my job.  The adult group came next and once again some old school edges mixed with some new technique was enjoyed by all.

Friday came and went with some practice ice and lots of private lessons.  I walked around the beautiful resort and saw the amazing water park that they built.
