I always liked the Barber of Seville and used it for short program. I was mad that I had all these great ideas for 2 people and no pair or dance team seemed willing to try any of my ideas. So I remember thinking, “well I’ll just have to split myself in half and do both parts,” which got me thinking. My seamstress Kathy Sepanski helped design the outfit, and I figured out the magnets to make the hat flaps stick up for bug’s ears, and down again for Elmer. My good buddy John became my prop master, and designed a portable chair and fold down shot gun.
