Santa 11/28/09

What a great day today. The weather was nice and I enjoyed some more time in the sun. I woke up and went to the food court for a bit of breakfast. I swear that the Mall Santa is stalking me now because he walked by the eating area and "Ho Ho'ed" us all. Grrr.... So anyways, after buying a cool picture for the house (lets see how I manage that sucker on the plane) I made it down to the rink for skate number two. In the picture you will notice the rink manager Chris. She is one cool lady who just bought a Harley Dyna super glide. Her husband is also a Harley man, and I hope one day to come and ride with the two of them. Chris and I go way back. She was there at my first Santa gig 10years ago. Here is an "edited" version of the funny story about how we first met.

"Hi, my name is Chris, I'm your dresser."

With a look of surprise on my face I say, "My what?"

"Your dresser."

Not trying to make a big deal I slowly say, "Uhm, I'm a big boy, I can dress myself," to her very obvious look of relief. What I didn't know is in the past she had to help dress a previous Santa who would only wear his dance belt (for those of you who don't know, that is a male g-string like jock). Apparently he was unable to dress himself. We still get a chuckle out of that. Below is a picture of me and the pair team followed by a video of today's performance. As always I get a bit bored with the same routine so this week I tried to add a little bit of Beyonce Single Ladies in the mix. Till next week!
