Show and Trailer

This last weekend Joel was out of town.  So I filled in for him in Fuego Fuego, in which he dances around with another skater, Katryn.  Well, he does this move where she does a shoot the duck, and he also does one behind her.  Looks really cool...her head is on his knee, his free leg is helping to hold up her hips, and then he lets go and leans back too.   Well, I got everything except for the lean back part!  I let go, throw my arms in the air like “GOAL” from a referee in a football game for a grand total of a second, and then grab her again!  Almost tripped her and went down when I brought her back up, but thankfully nothing terrible happened!  (like in rehearsal when I dropped her in the shoot the duck and we slid to a stop together)

So totally non-skating related here.  I have the ultimate all around trailer, which is a 4X8.  My buddy John tricked it out so I can attach a winch, and have it pull my harley on and off it with no problem.  I have probably gotten my $600 back twenty times already by now...that poor trailer has worked is hiney off for me!  The one thing it hasn’t done is be able to fold up.  Well, I saw this SLICK trailer that folds up length wise!!!!  It is a 5X8, and when you fold it up, it is only 29” wide!!!!  Of course they company doesn’t sell that size direct, and only costco’s and this sportsman place that isn’t in Michigan.  So costco’s is all out, and the sportsman place actually has one here in Twin Falls, ID which is an hour and half away.  The plan is to buy this trailer and give the old workhorse to my buddy John.  This way the trailer can be put away in the garage and still have the ability to have 2 cars and a motorcycle in there.

So what does this mean?  I have to somehow get the fold up trailer AND the harley on the workhorse and bring it all home.  The new trailer needs to have the wheels and fender taken off, and wheel mount for the Harley has to be relocated to the side...and I don’t want to even think about how I’m going to load it...most likely with a bunch of help from the locals!  I’ll keep you all posted on how that potential hazard goes!

The shows have been going well, and sad that the summer is winding down.  I’ll catch you all soon!!!!
