The End of Sun Valley :(

I can not believe how fast the summer went by so fast!  The last couple of days I packed everything up, cleaned the condo, and finished some last minute projects.  Labor Day I booted out to Boise and hung out with my good friends Rich, Ryan, and Carolyn.   Did you know Boise is the first (or second?) in having the highest amount of restaurants per residents?  Tons of greasy spoons that are cheap and amazingly good!  We spent the day at this family fun center go-kart racing, playing video games and putt-putt, and hitting baseballs in the batting cage.

So sure enough on the way home, my time had come, and so had Bambi’s.  KABOOM.  Thankfully for me, not him, he was little...so his head bounced off the hood, and then went under the car.  MAN did it freak me out!!!!  When I got back into town I spent a good 20 minutes at the quarter car wash attempting to wash away the murder evidence on my lethal Subaru weapon.  Bring it on CSI!!!!  A quick trip to the Subaru dealership confirmed only hood damage and a wheel alignment needed.  That is until my mechanic John gets in there and really checks it all out...I just know its safe to drive home.

The following week was pretty uneventful except for helping out a few of my mac friends with different projects.  Ryan and Carolyn came down for the show and to help me load the Harley...and as you can see by the picture it FIT!!!!  Hallelujah!!!  I actually had an inch on either side to spare.  I drove the Harley up on this hill and walked it onto the trailer with Jay (the lighting guy) and Ryan helping.  I was a bit worried because when I relocated the wheel chalk the space looked way too small, but it fit!

The last show came and went, and its time to drive home.  I feel lucky to have spent an amazing summer here in paradise.  Now for the 30hr drive home, nervously looking out the back window praying the new trailer doesn’t flip off and take the Harley with it!

Be well,

Dan
